I met David through his sponsorship of Amersham and Chiltern Rugby Club.  He was always a joy to be with, kind, funny and interested in others - i would always try to put him on my Sponsors table where possible as he was always great company and got on with everyone.

David was certainly taken into the hearts of many club Members who had met him over the years - indeed some of our members had a regular Monday Club at The Crown.

For me David always asked about me and my family in such a genuine way - and always asked how i was and sponsorship at the Club.  I have met so many lovely people during my role at the Club - and David was one of my favourite sponsors. David's lovely irish accent and love of Rugby - he was always so easy to talk to.  David often talked of his family with pride and i remember being at the Club when his son messaged him asking for his allowance for the week whilst at uni and he said "Liz this is how your world will be when your son is at Uni" - and it is

On hearing thew news of David - i poured myself an Old Amersham Gin and Tonic that evening to toast what a wonderful man David was and how lucky i was to know him.  I shall miss him greatly.
